I love how this plant has settled into the home garden. It doesn't set seed well at home but I live live next to the mountains so collection is not an issue most years.
One thing I really noticed this year was the scent that the blooms give off. It was quite pleasant but not overbearing.

This grows on the forest floor, edge of forests as well, but it does prefer a fully shaded growing area. The blooms are tiny and brilliantly white. The berries are where this plant performs, pink speckled for the longest time and then turning to a deep red when ripe.
